What these terms cover
These terms apply to anyone reading or using Deaf Truth Unfiltered, published by DeafMetrix Ltd, company number 17291262, registered office 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA. Using the site means these terms apply. Anyone who does not agree with them should not use the site.
What this site is
This is a publication. It carries documented accounts, commentary and opinion. It is not legal, financial, medical or professional advice, and reading it does not create a professional or client relationship with DeafMetrix Ltd.
Each piece describes what happened on the dates recorded in it. Organisations change their systems, staff and policies, so a piece should not be read as a statement about how an organisation operates today.
Who owns what
The writing, artwork, title lockup and design of this site belong to DeafMetrix Ltd, except where stated otherwise.
- Contributors keep copyright in their own words. Permission to publish is agreed with each contributor separately.
- Screenshots, extracts and trade marks of other organisations belong to their owners and appear for criticism, review, quotation or reporting, with acknowledgement. Their appearance does not imply endorsement or association.
Automated collection and machine learning
To the extent the law permits, no permission is given for automated scraping or text and data mining of this site, or for using its content to train machine learning or artificial intelligence systems. This does not override any exception the law guarantees, including text and data analysis for non-commercial research by people with lawful access.
Using the site properly
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it.
- Do not interfere with its security or availability, or overload it with automated traffic.
- Do not use the site in any way that breaks the law.
Sending in experiences
Emailing a story is not newsletter consent, publication consent or a copyright transfer, and does not by itself give DeafMetrix Ltd a licence to publish it. Publication terms, including whether a name is used, are agreed with the contributor in writing before anything appears. The full process is set out in the editorial standards.
Links to other sites
Links to other sites are provided for reference. Their content and availability are their owners' responsibility.
Responsibility and its limits
Care is taken to keep the site accurate and available, but uninterrupted availability cannot be promised. Errors are corrected through the complaints and corrections process.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where it applies. Subject to that, DeafMetrix Ltd is not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for loss arising from relying on a piece as professional advice.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Readers who are consumers living in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their local courts, and nothing here removes the protection of mandatory consumer law where a reader lives.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the publication grows. The current version is dated 23 October 2026.
